SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE TONIGHT

A complex of organized strong thunderstorms will move across the hill country and south central Texas tonight. Some of the storms will be severe with locally heavy rain of 2 to 4 inches possible. The stronger thunderstorms will be capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph along with large hail.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will form mainly over the Edwards Plateau this afternoon...with scattered showers and isolated strong thunderstorms expected over the rest of South Central Texas. The threat for severe weather and heavy downpours will increase this evening as a cold front approaches the area. Breezy south to southeast winds are expected ahead of the approaching storm system, with gusts to 35 mph possible.
